Sting made his debut as a leading man with this portayal of Baron Charles Frankenstein. A psychological/feminist revision of "The Bride of Frankenstein". The San Diego Union-Tribune said: "Sting is dashingly exotic in the role, sexier than any of the previous mad scientists. Wearing high dandy's collars and crescent-moon falls of blond hair that show off his gaunt, haughty face, he could be the spoiled younger brother of Rochester in 'Jane Eyre'."

sting-, you're such a great human being, you`re absolutely special!!!, during your performance i felt like i could read your thoughts. you came in figuring out the situation in the studio, the people clapped and honored you, then the fast song began, you thought this would not be the right song for this place, then you tried to get them in the first refrain, then there came the lyrics: "be yourself no matter what they say,,,,",that was your moment, the moment, where you said to yourself: "what the f**** am I doing in this strange place/studio with these bright lights and these french teenage fans.., then you decided to just feel free (no matter...,)and let the spririt of your own song get you flying and burning!!!,,, g. m. s. Sting is currently on the Back to Bass tour throughout Europe, the UK and South Africa in support of the recently released box set collection, 25 Years, which garnered a rave review from Keyboard Magazine in the April 2012 issue: "What I've learned over the years is that miracles don't happen and what works is the process," Sting writes in the liner notes for '25 Years', his three-CD-plus-DVD solo career retrospective. The process he speaks of shines in full, recorded glory here, with 55 tracks evincing his continued quest for aural eloquence. On Tuesday, June 5, he will perform many of his greatest hits at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri, with a 5-piece band including Dominic Miller (guitar), David Sancious (keyboards), Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), Peter Tickell (electric fiddle), and Jo Lawry (vocals). Fan Club presales begin at 10AM (local time) tomorrow, March 20. Tickets will go on sale to the public Saturday, March 24 at 10AM (local time)...

A single spotlight, above a microphone centre stage, forms the eerie backdrop to tonight's show, with the seated crowd waiting in anticipation induced silence. The sixteen time Grammy Award winner may be sixty years of age these days, but he shows no sign of slowing down with his hectic touring schedule around the globe. With his 5-piece backing band sneaking into place to start up the show with 'All This Time', it's not long before Sting strides on stage, bass in hand and a wide smile. The lyricly dark track, combined with uplifting instrumentals, a conflict which forms much of the songwriters work, has fans whooping along, and it's just the start of showcasing the skills of his incredible backing band...
