"Don't Make Me Wait" - Sting & Shaggy...

International superstars Sting and Shaggy have collaborated on a new song called “Don’t Make Me Wait.” The song is the result of studio sessions held late last year in which the two artists got together to jam and create music that reflects their mutual love of Jamaica, it’s music, people and culture. Rhythms, lyrics and melodies flowed easily between these two accomplished musicians and, as a result, several new island influenced, Caribbean-flavored songs emerged. “Don’t Make Me Wait” will mark the first release from these historic sessions.   

On Saturday, Jan. 6th, Sting and Shaggy will debut “Don’t Make Me Wait” LIVE in the heart of Jamaica; in Kingston on the lawns of Jamaica House in front of 20,000 people at the “Shaggy & Friends” charity concert to benefit the Bustamante Hospital for Children in Kingston. The studio version of “Don’t Make Me Wait” will be released world wide on Friday, February 2nd. Sting and Shaggy are shooting a video for the song in Jamaica on January 7th.  

On Wednesday, Jan. 3rd, while visiting Jamaica’s biggest station, Irie FM, in Ocho Rios, Shaggy revealed a snippet of “Don’t Make Me Wait” live on-air. Renown reggae DJ and host, DJ Bones, was so excited by the collaboration and the song, that he looped the snippet 3 times in a row after which Shaggy began to spontaneously perform his verse a cappella in the studio.
