Been a fan since: The MTV World Premier of 'Every Breath You Take'.
Favourite Sting song: 'All This Time'- such a serious and melancholy and overwhelming theme of loss but wrapped in such a fantastic catchy and deceivingly upbeat melody.
Favourite Police song: 'So Lonely'- again, the title itself sounds incredibly sad yet the lyrics are with such a beautiful song that it makes me smile every time I hear it.
Favourite Sting album: The trilogy of 'The Dream of the Blue Turtles', '...Nothing Like The Sun' and 'The Soul Cages'. To me, the first three have defined Sting and he's never looked back. Even if Sting hadn't made another album after these his place in music history was set.
Favourite Police album: Whichever I put on the stereo, there's not one that I won't run around and dance to in front of the mirror if the kid's and Mrs. Surpata aren't around.
Most memorable concert: So many memories, but shaking Sting's hand in '04 and Opening Night of the '...Nothing Like The Sun' North American Tour- no words can describe the youthful freedom and pure fun I had that evening for 3 hours in Tampa.
Other favourite bands: Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Pixies, Coldplay, U2, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald.
In your own words: In just the past few years, as my family has grown, I've started to realize the profound and lasting impact Sting's music and his artistry of sound and song has helped shape my philosophical view of the world, mankind, and nature.
