Police seem to be making a habit of pounding the Brighton beat.
They were back with a sell-out concert at the Brighton Centre a matter of months after appearing at The Dome. Sting bassist/vocalist/ sex symbol and Quadrophenia actor noticed the difference.
"It's a big place," he observed astutely last night. "Just right for a conference."
Police obliged their frenetic faithful with their pop reggae chart comets from 'Walking on the Moon' to 'Roxanne'.
And Sting gave a lesson in stage presence - just had time for a cool drink in Roxanne. Perhaps it was pop.
