The Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome was transformed into a veritable temple of music, with a large and enthusiastic audience ready to experience a memorable evening. One of the most anticipated events of the Roman summer season took place during the "Roma Summer Fest": a concert by Sting, who brought his "Sting 3.0" world tour to the stage.

The British singer-songwriter, formerly of The Police, entered the stage shortly after 9:00 PM, greeted by prolonged applause and cheers of enthusiasm. Accompanied by his faithful guitarist Dominic Miller, his longtime collaborator, and drummer Chris Maas, Sting performed the legendary London rock band's greatest hits live.

The atmosphere immediately exploded with the opening song "Message in a Bottle," which immediately captured everyone's attention. The timeless charisma of Sting, 74, an actor, author, and activist, captivated everyone, conveying pure and authentic emotion.

During the approximately two-hour concert, some of his greatest solo hits were also performed, including his latest single, "I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart)," and other songs that have made international music history. The setlist masterfully blended past hits with new creations, offering the audience a journey through rock, pop, and more intimate sounds.

Skin, who will be on stage this evening, Tuesday, July 8th, with his band Skunk Anansie, was also among the audience.

The English singer-songwriter, actor, author, and activist stopped in Rome on his "Sting 3.0" world tour.

The auditorium at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone was packed on Monday, July 7, for one of the most anticipated events of this busy summer concert season in the capital. The former Police member's "Sting 3.0" world tour stopped in Rome for the Roma Summer Fest, featuring guitarist Dominic Miller, his longtime collaborator, and drummer Chris Maas. They formed a trio, just like the Police, to perform the greatest hits of the British rock band formed in London in 1977.

Sting took the stage shortly after 9:00 PM, greeted by screams and prolonged applause, and opened his set with the song "Message in a Bottle." The audience was immediately captivated by the power of the song and the timeless charisma of the seventy-four-year-old singer-songwriter, actor, author, and activist. Everyone sang along, their hands tapping to the beat. There was a pleasant, festive atmosphere as his biggest solo hits and latest single, "I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart)," also appeared on the setlist. Among the audience were many well-known faces, from Stefania Sandrelli to Pierfrancesco Favino with Anna Ferzetti, Claudio Santamaria, Serena Autieri, and Skin, who will be on stage this evening, Tuesday the 8th, with her band Skunk Anansie. The seventeen-time Grammy Award-winning artist, with one hundred million records sold worldwide, closed out the nearly two-hour set with encores of "Roxanne" and "Fragile." The audience erupted in a frenzy and received a prolonged standing ovation.

The timeless charisma of pop star Sting lit up the evocative Cavea dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica “Ennio Morricone” in Rome, treating the audience to an incredible evening of British music.

In top form, Sting entered the stage with a proud expression and was delighted by the affection of the audience, who greeted him with a standing ovation. 

We begin immediately with the Police's timeless hits.

Bass slung over our shoulders, we begin with a classic like "Message in a Bottle," a major hit by the Police. Followed by "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic," we immediately leap back almost fifty years to when Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland enchanted the world with their music.

The setlist retraces the British pop star's splendid career.

The setlist can only be a kind of greatest hits collection for many of us, especially for those who love great music. Songs like "Every Breath You Take," "Roxanne," "Englishman in New York," and "Fields of Gold" evoke indelible memories of our lives and unleash a wave of nostalgia, demonstrating how these songs have become part of our collective imagination.

On stage, Sting was joined by musicians of the highest calibre, capable of breathing new life into the songs without betraying their original essence. Dominic Miller on guitar, a long-time collaborator of the British star, and Chris Maas on drums, accompanying Sting with his fabulous bass.

The concert reached its climax during the encore, when the artist bid farewell to the Roman audience with a moving version of "Fragile," leaving a profound impression on the hearts of everyone in attendance, who had by now crowded in front of the stage and left their seats to get closer to the British star.

Once again, Sting proved himself to be a timeless artist, capable of moving and engaging generations.
