A fully recovered Sting exudes energy at Starlite Marbella...

Tonight at Starlite Marbella, Sting wanted to offer "a slightly different concert, a little more intimate, and easier on my voice," as he himself said in perfect Spanish.

At ten o'clock, punctually English, he stepped onto the stage, introducing himself to his audience, speaking his native language and immediately translating what he was saying into Spanish.

The singer acknowledged that "I've been sick and have had to cancel two concerts" of the "My Song" tour he was performing in Europe.

However, "I hope I don't have to cancel any more," he said, showing an enviable physical condition at 65 years of age.

He also expressed his joy at being present at Starlite Marbella for the second consecutive year.

Dressed entirely in black, looking good, tanned, with a neat, short, completely white beard, the only thing that betrays the passage of time on his figure, he started the concert, guitar in hand, with one of his legendary songs, “Roxanne.”

A guitar change led to the audience clapping and dancing along to songs like "Magic," "Message in a Bottle," "Englishman in New York," "Intros," "Brand New Day," and "Seven Days."

His conversations with the audience were bilingual throughout. "Sing with me louder," he shouted, demonstrating his command of Spanish.

Although he initially stated that he wanted a calming concert, Sting exuded energy on stage, playing plenty of Jamaican pop rhythms, prompting the audience of all ages—some who became fans of his music listening to their parents' records—to get out of their seats.

The 16-time Grammy winner delighted his fans with great songs like "Fields of Gold," "Break of Day," "Wrapped," "Moon," "So Lonely," and "Desert Rose."

Upon the arrival of "Every Breath You Take," the entire audience sang along to the lyrics, a summer classic for many generations, the soundtrack to a TV commercial, and his voice sounded perfect, with no signs of the passing of time.

In some of these performances, he was accompanied in duets by spectacular vocals from his own band, as was the case with "Shape of My Heart."

Of his band, Sting himself has given special recognition to the youngest member, the musician responsible for playing the harmonica.

In his recent appearances on the stage, acclaimed by his fans, after more than an hour and a quarter of concert time, Sting has performed "King of Pain," "Next to You," "Russians," and "Fragile."
