Sting's second sold-out concert at Arena Riga...
British composer and singer Sting's second performance at Arena Riga on July 29 was completely sold out. The concert was attended by 12,000 spectators, according to the concert organizers, indicating that Sting is one of the few musicians who has managed to successfully sell out an arena concert in Riga for the second time in a row.
The musician delighted the audience by performing the biggest hits of his solo career - “Englishman in New York”, “Fields of Gold”, “Shape of My Heart”, “Fragile” and compositions created during the time of the group “The Police” - “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic”, “Message in a Bottle”, “Roxanne” and others.
The summer tour, during which Sting performed in Latvia, is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the musician’s solo career. Sting performed in Riga with his band, and those present had the opportunity to enjoy not only Sting's own musical performance, but also the instrumental solo performances of the band members.
Singer Nelly Furtado also watched Sting's performance at the Arena Riga.

CREATE A DISPLAY NAMEThe band put on an absolutely awesome show at Riga – Sting’s voice was perfect, the whole band was very energetic and the arrangements were really fresh. A great mix of hits and “deep cuts”, too. “De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da” (David Sancious! Peter Tickell!) and “Next To You” with the new extended outro were absolute standouts.
Please tour again soon, this didn’t feel like a washed-up greatest hits set or anything like that AT ALL!
It was the best way how to celebrate my birthday that was exactly on 29th July – a fabulous concert with the opportunity to delve into the fascinating music and drift … Thank you so much!
