Sting and the Bass...
The former Police member's tour, celebrating his 25th anniversary, continues.
Begun in 2012, Sting's "Back to Bass" tour is about to conclude with a concert in Bucharest on July 31st. This is the live show where the English musician has returned to his instrument of choice, celebrating his 25th anniversary as a solo artist. After performing in North America and conquering every corner of continental Europe, even crossing the Urals, the artist returned to Italy this summer with three concerts: on July 8th at the Verona Arena, on the 9th at the Foro Italico in Rome, and last night at the Arena della Regina in Cattolica.
On more than one occasion in the past, the sound systems at the Cattolica Arena have proven inadequate for the invited guests; but, on the occasion of his concert, Sting was able to pay homage to those present – more than 5,500 tickets sold – without any unexpected incidents, retracing his long career through twenty songs, for almost two hours of music (rather: in the Cattolica arena, courtesy and hospitality are not always the norm...).
Sting's band, featuring Dominic Miller (guitar), Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), David Sancious (keyboards), Peter Tickell (violin), and Jo Lawry (vocals), featured Gordon Sumner, who covered some of his most famous songs ("Englishman in New York," "Fragile," "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You," "Fields of Gold," "Shape of My Heart," "Desert Rose"), including those from the Police era ("Roxanne," "Message in a Bottle," "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da," "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," "Every Breath You Take"), while maintaining his trademark style and personality.

CREATE A DISPLAY NAMESting is like a well kept wine, he only gets better with time! He must invest a lot of effort to keep both himself and his voice fit, he is still in excellent shape. The concert was awesome! Maybe he has a special relationship with the italian public, but he was really singing his soul out!
Essential with everything a music lover could want…eternal. A splendid voice – guitar playing that carried you away. A medley and set list of songs from past.perfect,future. Sting, Dominic Miller, Vinnie Colaiuta, David Sancious, Jo Lawrey and Peter Tickell. I truly needed that concert and had the time of my life! Wow!
