The event took place after the launch of a new Swatch watch - the Paparazzi - that uses Microsoft SPOT (Smart Personal Object Technology). The BMI Honoured Top European Songwriters and Publishers at their Annual London Awards on October 5, including Sting who picked up a pair of BMI Awards, including a three million performance certificate for 'Fields of Gold' and a Pop Award for 'Send Your Love,' both published by EMI Music Publishing Ltd./Steerpike Ltd. (PRS).
